I am a multi-disciplinary practitioner specializing in three primary areas of focus.

Mediation
My career began three decades ago at the Centre for Conflict Resolution at the University of Cape Town, providing alternative dispute resolution services to communities and government departments including the South African Police Services, Correctional Services and the Department of Education. The Centre also provided basic and advanced mediation skills programmes.
Education
I am an accredited* education, training and development practitioner with thirty years of experience. In addition to extensive skills training workshops with numerous organisations and communities, I have also lectured at institutions of higher learning including The South African College of Applied Psychology and Cornerstone Institute. The training workshops mentioned under Mediation were conducted before the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) was implemented in South Africa. Post the NQF regulations, I completed my accreditations as an education, training and development practitioner.

Transition
Working in crisis situations with people and communities who are traumatized, extended the scope of my work to include change management which is a key component of effective organisational development and transformation. Crisis inevitably results in change. Navigating change effectively informs all of the interventions that I design and implement.
