Quarterly Gatherings

Normally held on a weekend night from 7ish to 10ish.  Guests bring finger snacks like olives, dates, cheeses and breads etc.  A time of gathering and blessing around a theme and facilitated by Michelene.

Nominal contribution of anywhere between R30-R50. It is a guide and you are free to decide and place your gift discretely into the Basket of Blessing.   These gifts are used to obtain the resources and materials required for growing the vision of the red tent in South Africa.  The gifts are a form of blessing and energy and we ask you to be conscious about what it is you would love to see for women and girls in our country.  Present this quietly but intentionally in the basket of blessing too.

New Moon/Full Moon Gatherings

Held within the 3 day window of the new or full moon.  Depending on when the new or full moon happens we conduct shorter or longer gatherings.

Nominal contribution of R20 to be placed discretely into the Basket of Blessing.   These gifts are used to obtain the resources and materials required for growing the vision of the red tent in South Africa.  The gifts are a form of blessing and energy and we ask you to be conscious about what it is you would love to see for women and girls in our country.  Present this quietly but intentionally in the basket of blessing too.

Workshops

Normally held on a Sat or Sunday from 10am to 4pm.  A light lunch (includes vegetarian options) is provided and served by our Red Tent Hostess.  To keep costs down we ask attendees to bring nibbles for their reclining space (table) e.g. olives, dates, nuts, cheeses and breads etc.

The workshop fee (incl finger lunch) ranges from R400- R500 per person for the day.  Again, participants are asked to supply their own materials for craft done during the programme but it often includes bits and pieces from home.

Girls circles - Entering Womenhood

I am exploring several options for payment and will post to the website next week.  The process includes four training sessions preparing for menarche of 90 mins each over four weeks as well as facilitating the Rite of Passage ceremony at first blood for the child and her family.  This process needs to be contextualised for South Africa and will start in 2014.
